When can I start receiving my pension?

You decide when your occupational pension should begin to be paid out. If you do not make an active choice, payments will start automatically at a certain age.

The age at which payments start automatically depends on the pension agreement you belong to. Some occupational pensions start automatically at age 65, while others start later. If you wish, you can choose to start receiving your pension earlier or later. Further down this page, you can read about what applies to your specific pension agreement.

Please note: If you want to start receiving your pension at a different time, it is important to make your choice well before payments begin, as it cannot be changed afterward.

How to make your choice

On My Pages, you can see the options available to you. You can also compare different alternatives to see how the timing of your pension withdrawal affects the amount you will receive.

  • If you wish to make changes to your pension payout, you must notify us through My Pages. You can do this no earlier than 7 months and no later than 2 months before your pension payments are due to begin.
  • If you do not notify us of any changes, your pension will be paid according to the terms of your existing agreement.

Log in to My Pages to review and make changes to your pension. If you do not have an electronic ID (e-ID), or if you are unable to log in for any other reason, you can contact us, and we will send you a paper form instead.
