Submit a TIN Certificate

If you have a tax residence outside Sweden, you need to provide your foreign TIN number to us. We require this to report correct information about your payment in the income statement submitted to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).

TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) is an international tax identification number. It is used by tax authorities in different countries to identify individuals in tax matters.

On My Pages those who have tax residence outside Sweden can submit their TIN number.

If you cannot log in

The easiest way is to submit your information via My Pages. However, if can do npt have BankID och Freja+ (or if you prefer information in English), you can instead fill in and return the form “TIN Certificate.” This also applies if you are acting on behalf of someone else, such as an estate or a minor child.

Notify us within 30 days if the information you have provided changes or is no longer valid. The easiest way to do this is via My Pages.

If you are only tax resident in Sweden

You do not need to submit a TIN certificate if you are only tax resident in Sweden.

If you are tax resident in a country other than Sweden, you need to provide your TIN to us. We require it in order to report the correct information about your payments in the income statement (kontrolluppgift) to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). The Swedish Tax Agency, in turn, shares this information with tax authorities in other countries in accordance with international agreements.

You do not need to provide any TIN information if you are only tax resident in Sweden.

If you have several TINs from different countries, you only need to provide one. Choose the TIN that belongs to the country where you live.

Examples of when you are considered non-resident for tax purposes include if you do not live in Sweden, do not stay in Sweden on a permanent basis, or do not have strong ties to Sweden, such as family or housing. Yes, you must notify us within 30 days if the information you have provided changes or is no longer valid. Log in to My pages and update your information under “Mina uppgifter” (My details).

If the information relates to an estate, you need to complete the form “Certificate of TIN” (Intyg om TIN) and send it back to us. It is not possible to log in and submit the information via “Mina sidor.”

If one of the beneficiaries of the estate has a power of attorney to represent the estate, it is sufficient for that person to sign the form and attach a copy of the power of attorney. If no power of attorney is available, all beneficiaries must sign the form and attach legal documentation listing all beneficiaries, for example a copy of the estate inventory (bouppteckning).
