Pause payments and extend the payout period
You can pause the payments from your occupational pension. You can also extend the payout period.
How pausing your pension payments works
Pausing your pension payments means temporarily stopping the monthly payments you receive from AMF, for example if you want to return to work. The money that would otherwise have been paid out during the pause remains invested with AMF and may continue to grow. When your pension payments resume, we will recalculate your monthly payment amount and continue paying out your pension.
You decide when the pause starts and how long it lasts
When you apply for a pause, you specify when the pause should begin and when the payments should resume. The pause must last for at least one month.
Payments resume automatically when the pause ends
When the pause ends, your pension payments will restart automatically. We will then continue paying out your pension for the remainder of the payout period. The only thing you need to do is let us know if you change your bank account while your payments are paused. The easiest way to do this is to register your new account details on My Pages (Mina sidor).
You can extend or end an ongoing pause
If you would like to extend an ongoing pause or end it earlier than planned, you can do so by submitting a new application no later than the month before the change is to take effect.
